WHAT – A deployment ceremony for members of the Homestead-based 930th Digital Liaison Detachment.
WHEN – 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. Media are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.
WHERE – Homestead Armory, 756 Schweinfurt Road, Homestead, Fla. 33039
Approximately 25 Soldiers from the unit are deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to perform liaison duty between U.S. and coalition forces.
The military deployment ceremony will include families, friends, dignitaries and military leaders from the Florida National Guard.
The Soldiers will travel to Camp Shelby, Miss., for additional training prior to leaving for Afghanistan.
