Brigadier General James O. Eifert
Assistant Adjutant General – Air and Deputy Commander
Brigadier General James O. Eifert is the Assistant Adjutant General-Air and Deputy Commander, Florida Air National Guard. General Eifert is responsible to the Commander for mission readiness, operations, and administrative coordination of the 2,000 personnel assigned to the 125th Fighter Wing and nine Geographically Separated Units.
Brigadier General Thomas B. Cucchi
Chief of Staff – Florida Air National Guard
Brigadier General Cucchi received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps upon graduation in May 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was granted an educational delay and received a Master of Science degree in March of 1987 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Colonel Perry L. Hagaman
Assistant Adjutant General – Army
Colonel Perry L. Hagaman assumes duties as the Assistant Adjutant General for the Florida Army National Guard on 1 July 2014. As the Assistant Adjutant General he is the Adjutant General’s primary advisor on all aspects of the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG) and will provide oversight for both the state and federal missions of the FLARNG.
Colonel Valeria Gonzalez-Kerr
Assistant Adjutant General – Support
Colonel Valeria Gonzalez-Kerr currently serves as the Florida Department of Military Affairs’ State Quartermaster and the Florida National Guard’s Assistant Adjutant General – Army. She most recently served as Commander of the Homestead-based 50th Regional Support Group and Director of Human Resources for the Florida National Guard.
Colonel Mike A. Canzoneri
Chief of Staff – Florida Army National Guard
Colonel Mike A. Canzoneri began his career by attending basic training and Infantry AIT in 1982 at Fort Benning, GA. He served as a rifleman, machine gunner and team leader in A/3-124th IN. In 1986 Colonel Canzoneri attended OCS at the Florida National Guard Military Academy, graduating in August of 1986. He served as a rifle platoon leader, scout platoon leader and support platoon leader until 1992.
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Gerald H. Dedge
Command Chief Warrant Officer
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Gerald H. Dedge assumed responsibilities as the Florida Army National Guard Command Chief Warrant Officer on April 1, 2015. As a member of the Command Group, Mr. Dedge advises the Adjutant General on all aspects of managing the Warrant Officer program and assists the Command Group in the strategic direction of the Florida National Guard and its members.
Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey L. Young
State Command Sergeant Major
Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey L. Young was appointed the sixth State Command Sergeant Major (CSM) of the Florida Army National Guard on May 3, 2015. Prior to his assignment as Florida’s State CSM, he was serving as CSM with the 53rd Brigade Combat Team, Pinellas Park, Florida.
Chief Master Sergeant Jerry F. Gardner Jr.
State Command Chief Master Sergeant
Chief Master Sgt. Jerry F. Gardner Jr. is the ninth Florida State Command Chief Master Sergeant and is assigned to Headquarters, Florida Air National Guard in St. Augustine, Fla. He serves as the personal adviser to the Florida Air National Guard Commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force.
Command Sergeant Major Enrique Mendez Jr.
Command Sergeant Major for the Florida Army National Guard
Command Sergeant Major Enrique Mendez Jr. serves as the Command Sergeant Major for the Florida Army National Guard. He entered the United States Army in 1980 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Sill, Okla., where he was trained as a 13F Forward Observer.
